主要研究方向:茶叶功能成分化学与深加工、茶叶加工理论与技术、饮茶与健康、植物功能成分利用。
先后主持973计划课题、国家自然科学基金、支撑计划/攻关计划、国家重大科技成果转化项目、国际科技合作计划、农业部行业公益性项目、农业部948项目、湖南省重大科技专项等40多个。
